S2Ep6 - Exploring the Source with Claire McMillan

Dear listeners,
Tonight is the New Moon in Pisces, and so we have a new episode we are excited to share with you, a conversation with novelist Claire McMillan. Claire's latest novel, “Alchemy of a Blackbird,” follows two historical figures who might as well be considered patron saints for this podcast: surrealist painters Leonora Carrington and Remedios Varo.

Throughout the political tumult of the mid 20th century, Carrington and Varo made deeply spiritual, surreal, and mythic art, drawing from a dream world to envision a distinctly feminine form of power. In our latest episode, Rebecca and Claire channel the wisdom of the two artists to discuss the power of surrendering to flow in all its forms and what it takes to bring our full selves to making art.
